Your children are in great hands! We are educated, experienced, caring professionals who love being in the classroom every day.

I chose Stepping Stones as a school for my first child because of its philosophy of learning through play. Everyone learns best through doing and young children absorb a lot of knowledge about the world every day through their experiences. As teachers we strive to provide meaningful, discovery led activities to make the most of your child’s time at school and to leave them wanting more. See our PHILOSOPHY page to read more about the how’s and why’s of our instruction.

My second child and I went off to preschool together, he as a three-year-old in the two-day class and me as a first year teacher at Stepping Stones. Although I had taught for over ten years in the public schools (fourth grade in Fairfax County, VA, first grade in Lexington, MA and twelfth grade in East Boston) this was my first experience as a working mom!

Now, ten years later and with a third child and third graduate of Stepping Stones Preschool in the family I am settling into my role as director and appreciating my relationships with our students’ families beyond the classroom. I am happy to report that we have cultivated a devoted team of teachers who absolutely love their jobs and work hard every day to provide the best preschool experience possible and ensure that your children are happy!  Ms. Ellery, Mrs. Hendricks, Mrs. Milano, Mrs. T., and I promise to take care of your children, educate them, learn with them, and keep them safe.

All this to say, we are teachers, we are parents, we are learners. We strive to understand your feelings, your needs, and wants. We have an open-door policy at school for conversation, but our 21st century lives are busy and we certainly can’t focus or think as well as we would like to when we have our little ones at our sides. So, if you have questions about our program, feel free to email, call, or make an appointment. We are always available for you.
